More Details: We are having MPM Outdoor training session on Saturday July 16th in Old Town. Location at the Old Town Archery Center Outdoor facility, 46 West coiley Rd. Rain or Shine.... We welcome help to make it fun and successful....
Officially, please be there by time is 4:00 pm until we finish (we may finish using alternative lighting), but you can come earlier...and if you cannot make it until later, that is OK also...if you come early you can help out or just relax...we have pop-up rain shelters, picnic tables, Indoor & outdoor cooking. outdoor toilet...We Will have coffee, soft drinks, water, hotdogs/hamburgers/Sausage on the grill, baked beans, if we get volunteer(s) to make them, some type of mystery meat and whatever potluck you want to bring (Rumor has it that the Rev is bring one of his infamous dishes! Donations accepted to cover other food costs...(Non-participating spouses may come and we will have a screened in shelter/chairs for them to read...or relax).
IF ANYONE WISHES TO BIVOUAC(tent) (small pop-up camper is ok if needed), Friday &/or Saturday night...there is plenty of space...just let me know (tent) (good practice)....small campfires OK....We have water available and latrine.
Primary subjects:
- Basic, Serious Trauma injury training, (various)...etc. ...in the field...you may become a victim.
- First aid kits/supply demos - carry type, home/ retreat base, mobile (Bring yours to compare & share). Will also be going over extensively B.O Bag/72 hour, first aid kits and - Go Bag emergency supplies...relative to medical etc...
Also....
- We will Update demo & checking of suped up CB Radios & other communication updates since last communicatiion mtg. by & with those that have acquired...
We are open to other shorter demo suggestions....be flexible. Please be flexible as we will be inovatve & improvise as needed.
A suggestion was made that we should at least be dressed in whatever field camo clothes you may have. (Note: woodland camo is not "required") Bring fly dope, rainsuits, B.O. bags....NOTE: this is not being cancelled if it rains....need to do these things...no matter what the weather....
Re: Weapons (firearms) will not be used....but
It is permissable to CARRY concealed, if you are so permitted...and you may have other weapons that will remain secured in your vehicle, as you may normally be prepared....

The following are the injuries that will be "treated", most in the field, ....assuming no 911 assistance available...for extended period...these will be emergency situations...please come prepared for field activity... 1. Gun shot wound...soft tissue & bone...injury 2. Angina/heart attack 3. Fall from treestand/elevation with neck/head/back injury 4. Broken/sprained ankle 5. Compund/non compound fracture of leg/arm 6. Emergency Allergic reaction... 7. Impalement/stab wound... 8. Reacting to Vehicle accident/rollover/ATV/UTV/SUV... 9. Stabilizing & evacuating victims will be practiced by attendees.... Wear your field clothes, you will be in the woods/etc.......hunting camo is good or BDU woodland... Our trained trauma instructor will welcome any assistance... Bring your first aid kits and/or a way to take notes....Some injuries will be reaction/treated and some will be discussion only.... Be prepared to "assist"...ad hoc & impromptu...Volunteer "victims" are also needed....

I have to say that this was some of the best training we have had. I learned a few new skills so it was well worth it. Give a big hand to all that helped out.
